Age 75, passed away December 28, 2025.

Born May 31, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mildred Colton. Rory was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother. She was a practicing attorney for 42 years, most of her career with Green Green Godowsky and McFadden. Rory was one of the first 75 women in the State of Delaware to pass the bar. She was known for her kindness and dedication to her family, friends, and clients. Rory was an avid baker and loved to cook for her family. Her favorite memories were spent at Fenwick Island with her children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joan Helfand; Rory is survived by her husband of 54 years, Steven; her children, Dean (Jenny) and Sami (John Zavorski); her brother, Bruce; and two granddaughters.

A graveside service will be 11:00 am, Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Jewish Community Cemetery, 401 Foulk Road, Wilmington, DE 19803. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 250, Philadelphia, PA 19106 or the charity of your choice.
