Age 61, passed away July 12, 2026 after a short battle with cancer.

Those who knew him best called him Hank.  He was a hardworking man who could fix anything.  Hank worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and a welder.  He loved to collect old cars and motorcycles.  His hobbies were fishing, crabbing, and playing pool.

Hank is survived by his mother, Wanda Horn; his father, James Hurt, Sr.; his brother, Jesse W. Hurt; his three children, Justin Smith, James Hurt, III, and Carolyn Marie Hurt; and his five grandchildren.

He will be truly missed and loved.  Till we meet again in heaven, we love you.
