Age 88, passed away at his home, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

Born on October 5, 1937, in Abingdon, Virginia, Charles was the youngest of eight children born to Hoyt and Nina Blevins.  He moved to Delaware in 1960, and in 1962 he met the love of his life, Eva Bayless. They married in 1964 and built a beautiful life together.  Charles and Eva raised two children, Charles Daniel and Dawn.  Charles worked for many years in home building where he mastered drywall finishing. He amazed and entertained many with his agility on the stilts that were the tools of his trade.  Outside of work, he was happiest tending to his garden.  He spent countless hours cultivating it and generously shared his harvest with family and neighbors.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife and forever sweetheart Eva; his son, Charles "Danny" and fiancé Debbie Gay; his daughter, Dawn Testa and her husband Anthony; and four grandchildren whom “Pop” was immensely proud of — Alexia Kendzierski and her husband Brandon, Jacqueline Testa, Anthony Testa III and his wife Brittany, and Natalie Testa.  Pop leaves behind a lifetime of wonderful memories and pearls of wisdom that will stay with us forever.  We are profoundly grateful to have had this legend of a man in our lives.
