Obituary

Carol Ann Schofield, born in Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, at the age of 73, following a brief illness.

She was the 2nd of 9 children and preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Ann and John Edward Schofield; her brothers, Edward ("Eddie"), William ("Billy"); and her first husband, Martin Anderson ("Marty").

Carol is survived by her loving son, Liam; her siblings, Joseph, Linda, Virginia, Paul Francis, Margaret Mary and Michael Kevin; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

She was a devout Catholic and devoted to the Blessed Mother.  She enjoyed spending time with her beloved and doting son, Liam, and their many friends. Carol was a lover of animals and adopted many cats and dogs throughout her life.  It should be noted that she will be greeted in heaven by her favorite and most faithful companion of many years, Sable Judy Dog.

Carol worked for Mr. Larry's Hair Salon, The Mary Campbell Center, WSFS and Federal Express.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on September 24, 2026 at Sacred Heart Church, 917 N. Madison Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ministry of Caring at 1103 W. 8th Street, Wilmington, Delaware, 19806.
