Obituary

Age 68, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026.

Born July 7, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA, he grew up in Broomall, PA with his younger sister.  After high school graduation was complete, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1975.  Tony served four years in the Marine Corps, and after returning home from his service, he decided to enlist in the United States Navy.  As a sailor, he was educated in the Pipe Fitting and Welding trade and worked as a hull maintenance technician for naval vessels.  His career in the Navy spanned nine years, taking him to California, Rhode Island, and Delaware.

San Diego, CA was his first Naval assignment, and he was stationed on the USS Lewis B. Puller performing general maintenance for three years, ten months.  In 1984, Tony met his wife, Annette while on leave in his hometown through mutual friends.  Shortly after, they moved to Newport, RI where he was stationed to work on the USS Capodano.  They were married in May 1985 in a quiet ceremony before he deployed overseas.  After a short time in New England, Tony received orders to relocate to Delaware for shore duty, where he was a Navy recruiter for just over two and a half years in the Wilmington area.

After his service in the military, Tony utilized his skillset and worked in the Navy Yard in Philadelphia doing pipefitting and welding.  To further his career, he transitioned to employment with an industrial contracting company.  Over the next twenty-three years, he built his knowledge and expertise, earning his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, and working his way into a VP of Operations position. Additionally, Tony participated in the Wharton Fellows Program and attended Wilmington University for continuing education.

Tony is survived by his wife, Annette; daughter, Nicholle; two sons, Anthony (Kerri) and Dominic; granddaughter, Gianna; sister, Michele (Jack); and niece, Elizabeth.  He always enjoyed cooking on weekends and holidays family style, as well as, hunting and excursions with his sons.

A visitation will be 11:00 am to 11:30 am, Thursday, May 21, 2026 at the Chapel of Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Road, Springfield, PA 19064.  A graveside service will immediately follow.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Delaware Veterans Home, 100 Delaware Veterans Boulevard, Milford, DE 19963 (www.vethome.delaware.gov) or the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
